HSBC analyst Ricky Seo pointed out in the report that SK Hynix's operating profit in the fourth quarter is expected to increase by 57% quarter-on-quarter to a record high of 1.8 trillion Korean won, with prices of its DRAM and NAND chips potentially rising by 25% and 20% respectively. He analyzed that the weakening of the Korean won against the US dollar could also boost its fourth quarter earnings. As a supplier of NVIDIA's HBM products, SK Hynix is expected to continue to benefit from steady shipments. The current hot trend of artificial intelligence investments, combined with strong demand for general DRAM in the supercycle of storage chips, provides double support for SK Hynix.
