Foreign Ministers of China and Russia hold talks: Deepening political mutual trust and strengthening practical cooperation.

Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a telephone conversation with Somali Foreign Minister Abdiasis Abdullahi Abdi. Both sides confirmed the strategic partnership between China and Somalia, welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral relations, agreed to deepen political mutual trust, strengthen practical cooperation, jointly safeguard national sovereignty and unity, and uphold the principle of non-interference in internal affairs. China supports the territorial integrity of Somalia, and Somalia supports the One China principle. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, development aid, cultural exchanges, and multilateral coordination to promote the peace and development of the Horn of Africa.
