American consumer confidence falls close to record low, personal financial outlook worsens.

Due to the worsening views of Americans on their personal financial situation, consumer confidence in the United States fell to near historic lows in November. According to data published by the University of Michigan, the consumer confidence index dropped to 51 in November, down from 53.6 in October. The latest figure is only slightly higher than the initial value. The current conditions index fell by 7.5 points to a record low of 51.1. Views on personal financial situation are the most pessimistic since 2009.
