Uzbekistan President Mirziyoyev meets with Wang Yi.
On November 21, 2025 local time, Uzbek President Mirziyoyev met with Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Tashkent. Mirziyoyev asked Wang Yi to convey his most sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping, warmly congratulated the successful convening of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and believed that all the tasks set out in the "14th Five-Year Plan" proposal could be successfully achieved on schedule. He thanked China for its valuable support for Uzbekistan's economic and social development and improvement of people's livelihood for a long time. He stated that breakthrough progress has been made in cooperation in various fields between Uzbekistan and China, and bilateral relations will not be affected by any external influence. He looks forward to maintaining high-level exchanges with China, enhancing strategic mutual trust, promoting the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, strengthening cooperation in investment, high-tech, connectivity, agriculture, green energy, poverty reduction, humanities, and local areas. Uzbekistan firmly adheres to the one-China principle and is willing to promote generational friendship with China, resolutely combat "three forces", and become reliable friends and partners, mutually respecting, understanding, and supporting each other. President Xi Jinping's four major global initiatives and the "Belt and Road" initiative are of great significance for the current era, and Uzbekistan is willing to work together with China to implement them. China plays an increasingly important role in promoting world peace and development, and Uzbekistan greatly appreciates this. Wang Yi conveyed President Xi Jinping's warm greetings to President Mirziyoyev, stating that under the leadership of the two heads of state, China-Uzbekistan relations have continuously reached new heights and have borne fruitful cooperation results. China firmly supports Uzbekistan in safeguarding national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as in supporting the various reform and development measures taken by President Mirziyoyev, promoting the construction of the "New Uzbekistan" to achieve greater achievements, and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Uzbek nation.
