Photographer Dai Jianfeng's lawsuit against Visual China for infringement lasted two years and finally received a first-instance judgment, with Visual China and two other companies being ordered to compensate 15,000 yuan and issue a public apology. On November 20, photographer Dai Jianfeng posted on his Weibo account "Jeff's Starry Sky Journey", stating, "Regarding my lawsuit against @Visual China for selling my photos and illegally claiming compensation from me, after two years of litigation, the People's Court of Heping District, Tianjin, recently made a first-instance judgment. The judgment confirmed Visual China's infringement and required compensation, as well as a public apology on their official website." The court found that Visual China illegally sold Dai Jianfeng's photo "Village under the Milky Way", infringing on his internet dissemination rights and right to attribution, and therefore ordered Visual China and two other companies to pay a total of 15,000 yuan in compensation and to publish a statement apologizing on their official website for 48 consecutive hours. At the same time, the court also deemed Visual China's previous claim for over 80,000 yuan from Dai Jianfeng as inappropriate. Regarding this case, on November 21, a journalist called Visual China in the capacity of an investor, and a staff member from the company's Investor Relations Department responded, "No response at the moment, please refer to the company's future public announcements for information." As of now, Visual China's official website has not released any information on this matter.
