TrendForce: DDR5 memory prices have increased by 307% since September, module costs are about to soar.

Wisdom Financial APP has learned that, according to the latest storage spot price trend report by TrendForce, in terms of DRAM, the spot prices of DDR4 1Gx8 and DDR5 2Gx8 chips have both increased to varying degrees since early September. It is expected that the speed of price increases in the spot market for memory modules will accelerate, narrowing the gap with chip prices. At the same time, in the NAND flash memory sector, spot prices have continued to rise due to extremely tight supply, with quotes fluctuating daily. As for DRAM, spot prices for DDR4 and DDR5 chips have already surged significantly. Since early September, the spot price of DDR4 1Gx8 chips has increased by 158% compared to the previous month, while the spot price of DDR5 2Gx8 chips has skyrocketed by 307%, making it difficult for buyers to follow up on prices and therefore further shrinking transaction volume. However, this has not changed the strong outlook for the current DRAM market.
