German bank: Eurozone bond issuance rebounds
Erik Liem and Rainer Guntermann from the research department of Deutsche Bank stated in a report that the issuance of eurozone government bonds is on the rise, with Spain and France set to sell bonds on Thursday. However, the upcoming supply is unlikely to exert significant pressure on prices. These interest rate strategists said, "With financing amounts approaching this year's target level, the prospect of supply slowing down before the end of the year should prevent prices from continuously giving way." Spain will auction bonds maturing in 2033, 2035, and 2054. France will conduct two auctions - one for short to medium-term French government bonds and another for long-term bonds linked to eurozone inflation.
