The Ukrainian Parliament has decided to dismiss the Energy Minister, Grechkik, from his position.
On November 19th, local time, the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada voted with 315 votes to dismiss the Minister of Energy, Grygoriy Golovchenko. On November 10th, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office announced that the investigation results showed that current and former officials of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, along with businessmen, formed a "large criminal group" suspected of money laundering, illegal enrichment, etc., with nearly $100 million in laundered money confirmed. On the 11th, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau stated that they had carried out more than 70 raids on individuals and entities associated with this "criminal group" in Kyiv and other regions, seizing a large number of documents and cash related to the case. Ukrainian President Zelensky made a video statement on the 12th, stating that corruption in the energy sector is "absolutely unacceptable." On that day, Minister of Energy Golovchenko and Minister of Justice Galushchenko submitted their resignations.
