Five departments: physical education teachers enjoy the same treatment as teachers of other subjects in terms of title evaluation, welfare benefits, etc.

The Ministry of Education and five other departments have issued the "Opinions on Implementing the Student Physical Fitness Program", proposing to improve the incentive mechanism. They will improve the assessment methods for physical education teachers, taking into account aspects such as the quality of physical education classes, the health level of students' physical fitness, and guidance for competition results, and carry out scientific evaluations. Organizing and carrying out tasks such as large break-time activities, monitoring physical health, extracurricular training, extracurricular activities, guidance for competitions, and teaching assignments will be included in the workload of teachers. Physical education teachers will enjoy equal treatment in terms of title evaluation, welfare benefits, recognition and promotion opportunities compared to other subject teachers. The proportion of physical education teachers in the selection of subject leaders, special-level teachers, teaching masters, and teaching achievements awards will be guaranteed to be reasonable.
