Wisdom financial APP learned that on November 16, Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, released the trend of passenger car models in the sub-market in October 2025. The anti-"overwork" trend is driving the automotive market towards a direction of "reducing prices, reducing promotions, and stabilizing promotions," with the automotive market operating increasingly steadily. The number of price reductions announced by car companies or new cars that have exceeded the lowest guide price in the past two years has decreased, but the incremental effect of new cars entering the market at a low price is obvious. In October 2025, passenger car retail sales decreased by 1%, significantly lower than the 8% increase in wholesale sales. Due to restrictions on high interest rates and rebates and the suspension of subsidies causing a decline in retail sales from July to October, retail sales of A-class sedans and MPVs in October were relatively low, while A0-class sedans and C-class SUVs became the main drivers of retail sales in October. SUVs performed well in the high-end segment, with sales of A0-class sedans increasing and sales of A00-class sedans performing well in October.
