The capital of Cambodia this year saw its first fatal human case of avian influenza.

The Ministry of Health of Cambodia issued a statement on the 16th saying that a 22-year-old man living in the capital city of Phnom Penh died from H5N1 avian influenza virus infection. This is the first case of bird flu causing death in the capital city of the country this year.
