On November 15, at the construction site of the Hefei-Wuhan high-speed railway in Hefei, Anhui, a 900-ton bridge erecting machine successfully completed the installation of a 32.6-meter prefabricated box girder, marking the comprehensive start of bridge erection in the Anhui section of the Hefei-Wuhan high-speed railway. The construction of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network along the Yangtze River corridor has made significant progress. The Hefei-Wuhan high-speed railway is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network along the Yangtze River corridor, with a total length of about 360 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After the completion and operation of the Hefei-Wuhan high-speed railway, the round-trip travel time between Wuhan and Hefei will be shortened to 1 hour, forming a new high-speed railway corridor between Hefei and Wuhan, further optimizing the layout of the railway network in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
