China Meteorological Administration: Sunspot region 14274 erupts with X4.0 class solar flare.
The reporter learned from the National Space Weather Monitoring and Early Warning Center of the China Meteorological Administration that at 16:30 Beijing time on November 14th, the sunspot region 14274 erupted an X4.0-level solar flare. This is the 5th X-class solar flare eruption in this active region during the current solar rotation week. As the sun rotates, it will rotate out of the visible face of the sun. Since the flare occurred during daytime in most parts of China, the changes in the ionospheric environment caused by solar radiation may have some impact on radio shortwave communication. This flare process also produced a coronal mass ejection, but the region of occurrence is located in the upper north side of the sun, so the direction of material transmission is relatively off from the position of the Earth.
