Mitsui Sumitomo: The limited sell-off caused by the lack of key data in the United States so far.
Masahiro Ichikawa, Chief Market Strategist at Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management, stated: "The end of the US government shutdown has largely been digested, but the market still seems to be reacting positively to some extent." On the other hand, the White House indicated that even though the government shutdown officially ended, the consumer price index and employment data for October may never be released. "The lack of key data may complicate monetary policy management, but so far, the selling behavior triggered by this seems limited," Ichikawa said.
