The crackdown and governance of cybercrime has become a global challenge. The Eighth National Conference on Criminal Trial Work held on November 13 emphasized the maintenance of cybersecurity, and put forward specific requirements from three aspects: focusing on the disposal of virtual currency-related cases, regulation of obscene performances in online live streaming, jurisdiction of cybercrime cases, electronic data evidence authentication, and other new issues; further improving judicial rules, standardizing judicial standards, promoting lawful and civilized internet use; severely cracking down on cross-border online gambling crimes according to law, holding criminal responsibility for online platforms that provide services for overseas gambling and disseminate harmful gambling information, cooperating with relevant departments to clean up online gambling promotion chains; intensifying efforts to combat upstream illegal and criminal activities in the black and gray industries such as infringement of citizens' personal information, strictly punishing "industry insiders" according to law, applying industry bans, and pushing for the implementation of regulatory responsibilities for online platforms.
