India imposes anti-dumping duties on alloy and non-alloy hot rolled steel sheets from Vietnam.

On November 12, the Indian Ministry of Finance, Taxation Department issued Notification No. 32/2025-Customs, accepting the affirmative final ruling proposed by the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry on August 13, 2025, regarding the anti-dumping investigation on alloy and non-alloy hot-rolled steel plates originating from or imported from Vietnam. It was decided to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved for a period of 5 years as follows: The anti-dumping duty on the involved producer Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel JSC is 0, and for other producers in Vietnam, it is 121.55 USD/ton. The products involved are alloy and non-alloy hot-rolled steel plates with a thickness not exceeding 25 mm and a width not exceeding 2100 mm, without coating or plating. It does not include stainless steel hot-rolled flat plates. This case involves products under Indian customs codes 7208, 7211, 7225, and 7226. The measures will come into effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette.
