The World Power Battery Conference will be held in Yibin City, Sichuan Province from November 12th to 13th, 2025. Xin Guobin stated that electrification technology is permeating various fields such as engineering machinery, ships, aircraft, robots, etc., in addition to cars, and the prospects for the development of the power battery industry are broad. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will continue to promote the high-quality development of the power battery industry. Firstly, they will strengthen strategic guidance by formulating the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles and new types of battery industries, clarifying development goals and key tasks. Secondly, they will expand the application scenarios, promote the wider application of power batteries in relevant fields, support innovative battery exchange modes and vehicle-network interaction trials, and promote the coordinated development of new energy vehicles and intelligent infrastructure. Thirdly, they will improve the governance system by refining the provisional measures for the comprehensive utilization of power batteries, studying the establishment of a carbon management policy system for power batteries, and further standardizing industrial competition order. Fourthly, they will broaden cooperation space by creating a first-class market-oriented, rule-based, and internationalized business environment, accelerating the alignment of rules and standards, and creating conditions for high-quality international exchanges and cooperation.
