Li Chunfang, Deputy Director of the Industry Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated at a press conference on November 11 that next, we will work together with relevant departments to implement actions to expand and improve the service industry. Specifically, we will focus on supporting more private capital to invest in key areas of productive service sector. Firstly, we will support the orderly flow of private capital into high-value service industries, focusing on key areas such as industrial design, common technical services, inspection and testing, quality certification, etc. We will encourage private enterprises to enter industries with higher value-added services, increase support for private enterprises to participate in key projects in the productive service sector, and promote high-quality development of productive service industries by sector. Secondly, we will use reform pilot projects to establish typical examples of transformation and upgrading. By combining the development of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, we will encourage pilot projects in regions that are ready, innovate diverse policy tools, support private enterprises in exploring the path of making the manufacturing industry more service-oriented, and promote the specialization and high-end extension of productive service industries. Thirdly, we will guide various types of business entities to build productive service industry brands. By implementing the guidance catalog for industrial restructuring, we will encourage private enterprises and other market entities to explore industry demands, focus on deepening and refining their services, and create distinctive service brands with competitive advantages.
