The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on further accelerating the systematic layout and high-level construction of manufacturing pilot platforms. It proposed to strengthen a batch of pilot platforms. It is suggested to adhere to the stages of advancement, cultivate strengths, and guide pilot platforms to develop around strategic positioning, basic capabilities, technological advantages, operational mechanisms, service effectiveness, future potential, etc. to move towards a higher level following the path of "reserving pilot platforms - key pilot platforms nurtured by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology - national manufacturing pilot platforms". Industrial and Information Ministry in various regions should establish reserve pilot platforms in accordance with relevant conditions and management requirements to build the basic strength for high-level pilot platforms. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will select qualified reserve pilot platforms to be included in the list of key pilot platforms nurtured by the ministry to build the core strength for high-level pilot platforms. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will promote qualified key pilot platforms nurtured by the ministry to upgrade to national manufacturing pilot platforms in alignment with national strategic needs, major project implementation needs, key areas of industrial development, and key industry chain development needs to create the core strength for high-level pilot platforms.
