China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association: It is expected that by the end of 2025, the output of recycled nonferrous metals in China will surpass 20 million tons for the first time.
Ge Honglin, President of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, said at the 25th International Forum and Exhibition on Recycling Metals held recently that China's recycling nonferrous metal industry is developing rapidly. The output has increased from 14.5 million tons at the end of the "13th Five-Year Plan" period to 19.15 million tons by the end of 2024, with an average annual growth rate of 7.2%. It is expected to exceed 20 million tons for the first time by the end of 2025, becoming an important way to solve industry resource and environmental bottlenecks.
