A city in southern Brazil was hit by a tornado, resulting in 6 deaths and over 430 injuries.
On November 7th, a tornado hit the city of Rio Bonito do Iguau in the southern state of Parana, Brazil. Data from the Parana State Environmental Technology and Monitoring System showed that the tornado had wind speeds reaching up to 180 to 250 kilometers per hour. The Parana State Civil Defense Department and rescue agencies reported on the 8th that the tornado had caused 6 deaths and left over 430 people injured in the area, with extensive damage to the city and up to 90% of buildings being damaged or destroyed. Rio Bonito do Iguau is not far from the famous Iguau Falls and has a population of about 14,000 people.
