Economic Daily: "Smart facade" should not just be a decoration.

An article in the Economic Daily said that some places have carefully created "smart facades," but the beautiful robots and cool large screens are mainly used for receiving visitors, and are basically closed during normal times. This is not an isolated case. For a period of time, some places, in the process of promoting the improvement of government services, have treated new technologies as facades and decorations, showing a tendency to prioritize form over substance. Building without using is a waste of "smart facades." The true value of government intelligence should be reflected in actual services. For example, whether it can effectively shorten the time for business processing, whether it can share information across departments and exchange data, and whether it can make it easier for the elderly to operate. Paying more attention to "whether there is" and "how much" ignores "whether it is useful" and "how useful it is", ultimately, it is a misalignment of the performance view of individual leaders. Putting down the formalism of "face" and doing the "substance" of government services well, allowing the "smart facade" to truly play an effective role, can stand up to the scrutiny of the masses.
