Pakistan's Defense Minister: Failed to reach an agreement with Afghanistan in the new round of talks.
Pakistan's Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, stated on the 7th that the new round of talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan delegations in Istanbul, Turkey on the 6th and 7th has concluded without reaching any agreement, entering an indefinite suspension phase. Asif, in an interview with Pakistani media on the same day, said that the Afghan side was unwilling to sign a written agreement. Despite the Afghan delegation's statement that they would abide by verbal agreements, the Pakistani side believes that this commitment may not be fulfilled. Asif emphasized that the ceasefire agreement reached earlier between the two parties remains valid. If the Afghan side violates the agreement, Pakistan will respond accordingly.
