The recently released "Opinions of the Supreme People's Court on Promoting the High-Quality Development of the International Commercial Court and Providing Services to Safeguard High-Level Opening to the Outside World" requires strengthening the construction of international commercial courts by people's courts, continuously improving the quality and efficiency of foreign-related commercial trials, and proposing a series of innovative measures to provide important guidance for high-quality foreign-related judicial assistance in building the "Belt and Road" initiative and high-level opening to the outside world. In recent years, China has made new progress and achievements in the field of foreign-related judicial trials. In 2018, the Supreme Court established the first and second international commercial courts in Shenzhen and Xi'an respectively. Since 2020, 16 intermediate people's courts in cities such as Suzhou, Beijing, Chengdu, Xiamen, Shanghai, and Chongqing have successively established international commercial courts. The international commercial courts have blossomed in many locations, building a new mechanism for resolving international commercial disputes, creating a "one-stop" dispute resolution center, and providing quality legal services for Chinese and foreign parties.
