Preliminary survey data released by the University of Michigan on the 7th showed that the initial value of the US consumer confidence index in November dropped to 50.3, lower than the October final value of 53.6, and lower than the final value of 71.8 in November of last year. This initial data is also lower than the market's expected 53.2, indicating that American consumers are still concerned about employment and inflation issues. The University of Michigan's November current economic conditions index fell to 52.3, lower than the October final value of 58.6, and also lower than the final value of 63.9 in November of last year. The consumer expectations index fell to 49.0, lower than the October final value of 50.3, and also lower than the final value of 76.9 in November of last year. The future one-year inflation expectations released at the same time rose slightly from 4.6% in October to 4.7%.
