On the morning of November 5th, the work promotion meeting for the construction of the Wuhan Regional Science and Technology Innovation Center jointly by the central and local governments was held in Wuhan. Yin Hejun, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, emphasized the need to further strengthen the coordination between the central and local governments, as well as inter-departmental cooperation, to support the growth of strategic scientific and technological strength of the Wuhan Regional Science and Technology Innovation Center with greater efforts and practical measures. This includes enhancing the capacity for original innovation, promoting the deep integration of scientific and industrial innovation, breaking through a number of key core technologies, coordinating to promote the integrated reform of science and education talent, establishing a system to support comprehensive innovation, enhancing collaboration to create an innovation community within the urban agglomeration in the midstream of the Yangtze River, creating an open innovation environment, building an internationally competitive innovation ecosystem, establishing sound working mechanisms, strengthening overall coordination, and supporting Wuhan in accelerating the building of a science and technology innovation hub with national influence, making greater contributions to achieving high-level self-reliance in science and technology and building a strong country in science and technology.
