Copper prices rise thanks to expected increase in demand.

In early Asian trading, copper prices edged up slightly, with the three-month copper contract on the London Metal Exchange rising by 0.1% to $10,696.50 per ton. Daniel Hynes and Soni Kumari of the research department at ANZ Bank reported that demand for copper is expected to surge due to the rapid construction of data centers worldwide.
