News reports that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will visit TSMC's 3-nanometer factory in Tainan this afternoon, and will visit Hsinchu tomorrow to attend the TSMC Sports Day and appear on stage with the founder of TSMC. It is understood that TSMC is expanding the 3-nanometer production capacity of its Fab 18B in the Southern Science Park by 45% to 50% in response to NVIDIA's additional orders for AI chips using the 3-nanometer process. The additional AI chips from NVIDIA are expected to include the Blackwell Ultra, to be launched this year, and the Vera Rubin, to be launched next year.
