He Xiaopeng responds to the commercial landing scene of humanoid robots: working in factories and doing household chores are not the best scenarios.
On November 5th, He Xiaopeng, the chairman of Xiaopeng Motors, stated at the 2025 Xiaopeng Motors Technology Day that humanoid robots entering factories to "turn screws" or entering households to do chores is still not the best application scenario, and true commercialization still requires time. He Xiaopeng further explained that in testing, humanoid robots showed rapid wear and tear when performing tasks such as screw tightening in factories, and the manufacturing cost of a humanoid robot's hand is very high, equivalent to the cost of employing a worker for several years. In addition, safety remains the biggest challenge for humanoid robots entering household environments. Therefore, Xiaopeng Motors' humanoid robots will prioritize entering commercial scenarios to provide services, and next year, Xiaopeng Motors' humanoid robots will enter Xiaopeng Motors stores to provide explanation services and other tasks.
