On the evening of November 4th local time, Ecuadorian President Moreno signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency for 60 days starting on the 5th due to severe internal unrest in 5 provinces and 3 cities in the country. The executive order stated that the 5 provinces and 3 cities include Guayas, Manab, El Oro, Santa Elena, and Los Ros provinces, as well as the cities of La Mana in Cotopaxi province, Las Navas in Bolivar province, and La Ecuandia in Esmeraldas province.
