Shenyang's former SAIC-GM factory will be renovated, and Geely will use it to ease the capacity pressure of the Galaxy.

The original SAIC-GM Beisheng Factory in Shenyang is currently undergoing renovation and will be used to supplement the production capacity of Geely's Yinhe (Galaxy) brand. A source close to Geely stated, "Communications have been ongoing for quite some time, and now the production capacity of Yinhe is under pressure." Another source with knowledge of the matter stated that Geely had also discussed renting the Shenyang plant of a joint venture car company, but the negotiations did not reach an agreement.
