Pfizer is filing a second lawsuit against Metsera and Novo Nordisk for engaging in anti-competitive behavior.
On November 3rd, Pfizer announced that it has filed a lawsuit in the federal court of Delaware, USA against the drug development company Metsera and its controlling shareholder, Nordo- Nordisk, for the second time. Pfizer stated that Nordo-Nordisk's recent proposal to acquire Metsera constitutes anti-competitive behavior, aiming to "strangle" emerging American competitors in order to maintain its dominant position in the GLP-1 drug market. Currently, Nordo-Nordisk holds a leading position in this field with its popular weight loss and diabetes medications.
