MIIT: Cultivate a group of leading water-saving equipment companies and manufacturing single champions, specialized and new "small giants" enterprises by 2027.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on the implementation plan for the high-quality development of water-saving equipment. It mentions that by 2027, breakthroughs will be made in key areas such as water supply, water use, and recycling of water-saving equipment. A number of core technologies with independent intellectual property rights will be mastered, and technologies such as efficient water cooling, high-end membrane separation, and intelligent water management will be industrialized and applied. The standard system for water-saving equipment will be further improved, fostering leading enterprises in water-saving equipment and manufacturing industry champions, specialized and innovative "small giants," promoting the establishment of water-saving equipment pilot platforms, and forming a good ecosystem for the coordinated development of large, medium, and small enterprises in the industrial chain. By 2030, a comprehensive and technologically advanced water-saving equipment system will be established, with continuous enhancement of high-performance, high-efficiency, and high-reliability water-saving equipment supply capacity, reaching the world's advanced level in water-saving equipment manufacturing.
