Industrial robot production increased significantly, and China achieved an upgrade in "smart" manufacturing in the first three quarters.
In the first three quarters of this year, China's high-tech manufacturing industry showed significant growth, with the value added of high-tech manufacturing industries above designated size increasing by 9.6% year-on-year, contributing 24.7% to the growth of all industrial enterprises above designated size. The penetration of intelligent technology is accelerating, with production of intelligent UAVs, industrial robots, 3D printing equipment, and satellite navigation receivers increasing by 59.9%, 29.8%, 40.5%, and 28.5% respectively. The production of green equipment is growing rapidly, with the production of wind power generators, nuclear power generators, and solar panels increasing by 72.4%, 38.9%, and 14% respectively. The rapid growth in robot production is driven by strong demand from downstream manufacturing industries. With key industries such as automobiles, electronics, and new energy accelerating their automation upgrades, the demand for industrial robots continues to grow. In September, the national industrial robot production reached 76,300 units, an increase of 28.3% year-on-year. The total production from January to September reached 595,000 units, exceeding the total production of the previous year.
