Cui Dongshu, the Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, stated in a document that the world share of Chinese cars continues to rise. In September, China's world share rose to a good level of 38%, an increase of 2 percentage points from last year. By 2024, China is expected to reach a 34.2% share of the global automobile market, and by September 2025, China's share is expected to reach 34.5%. Among the world's top 10 car companies, 2 Chinese car companies, BYD ranked 6th, Geely ranked 9th, and Chery ranked 11th, have shown strong growth in market share. The development of electric vehicles has also led to a gradual decline in market share for some international car companies. Apart from the temporarily strong US market and factors such as Suzuki's success in the Indian market, the market share of other international brands has seen significant declines.
