Zheng Zhajie: Expanding domestic demand is the key focus of strengthening the domestic big cycle.

In the recently published "Guidance Reader on the Suggestions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 15th Five-year Plan for National Economic and Social Development," Zheng Zhaijie, director of the National Development and Reform Commission, published a signed article titled "Adhering to the Strategic Focus of Expanding Domestic Demand." Zheng Zhaje pointed out that expanding domestic demand is the key focus in strengthening the domestic circulation. At present, the domestic circulation still faces many problems, such as weak domestic consumption momentum, the need to further improve investment efficiency, and many bottlenecks in the construction of a unified national market. To solve these problems, it is necessary to firmly implement the strategy of expanding domestic demand, improve the quality and efficiency of economic circulation, promote the formation of an economic development model led by domestic demand, consumption-driven, and endogenous growth, with more reliance on the domestic market for production, distribution, circulation, and consumption, achieving mutual promotion of supply and demand, and upgrading the circulation.
