On October 31, Li Chao, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated at a press conference that in the first three quarters, China's economy has withstood pressure, making steady progress with effective control of disorderly competition gradually emerging. Key indicators such as prices of key products and corporate profits have improved. Prices of products such as polycrystalline silicon, silicon wafers, and lithium carbonate have significantly increased. Profits of industrial enterprises above designated size in the first three quarters grew by 3.2% year-on-year.
