The "deep earth economy" is of great strategic significance in ensuring national energy security. Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources stated that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, efforts will be accelerated to seize the standardization high ground in emerging and future industries such as deep sea and deep earth. According to People's Financial News, relevant policies are currently in the research stage. At the local level, several provinces plan to incorporate the core direction of "deep earth economy" into their respective "13th Five-Year Plans". For example, relevant departments in Sichuan Province are actively implementing related work on the "deep earth economy", focusing on deep earth mineral resource exploration and development, equipment upgrades, and more. In terms of deep earth equipment manufacturing, deep resource exploration, detection technology, and equipment development are planned to be included in the "13th Five-Year Plan". In terms of standardization of deep earth economy construction, Sichuan Province will encourage units within the province to actively participate in the formulation of relevant standards; while Yunnan Province actively supports deep earth technology research and development. Scientific research institutes, geological exploration units, and mining enterprises are encouraged to jointly apply for major national and provincial deep earth science and technology projects, and support collaborative research between enterprises and research institutes in various ways such as self-raised funds. The comprehensive exploration and development of deep-seated mineral resources in mines is continuing to progress. In terms of standardization work, relevant departments are currently conducting research on the standardization system of natural resources in Yunnan Province, and will formulate a revision plan for the "13th Five-Year Plan" based on the regional characteristics and resource endowment of Yunnan Province; while Inner Mongolia will carry out related work in accordance with the overall arrangements of the state and autonomous region combined with local realities. According to the requirements of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Inner Mongolia is currently preparing the "13th Five-Year Plan" for mineral resources, the "13th Five-Year Plan" for geological surveys, and the "13th Five-Year Plan" for the implementation of the new round of breakthrough strategies in mineral exploration in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
