The Ministry of Finance and four other departments have issued a notice on improving the duty-free shop policy to support boosting consumption. It mentions that duty-free shops at ports of exit, ports of entry, and within the city will provide online booking services. Travelers can pre-order duty-free goods online at duty-free shops at ports of exit, ports of entry, and within the city based on their travel arrangements. Duty-free shops will prepare goods according to the traveler's entry and exit time, and travelers can pick up the goods at the corresponding duty-free shops at ports of exit, ports of entry, or duty-free shops delivery points with the required documents such as valid entry and exit documents and shopping receipts. Travelers are allowed to pick up goods at duty-free shops at ports of entry after pre-ordering at duty-free shops within the city. For cities where there are duty-free shops at ports of entry, travelers who pre-order at duty-free shops within the city can make payments and pick up goods at duty-free shops at ports of entry upon arrival, following the policies of duty-free shops at ports of entry. Relevant departments and duty-free goods operations enterprises will continue to optimize the duty-free shopping process, enhance convenience, fully meet the consumption needs of travelers for duty-free shopping, and strengthen the supervision of duty-free goods to maintain market order and safeguard consumer rights.
