Guangzhou Baiyun Airport's new terminal officially opens on the 30th, setting multiple domestic "firsts".

Starting from October 30th, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport T3 terminal will officially commence operations. The first flight, MU6308, operated by domestically-produced aircraft C919, will depart from Guangzhou Baiyun to Beijing Daxing at 14:45. This also marks the official entry of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport into a new era of operation with "five runways, two control towers, and three terminals", making it the first airport in China to have five commercial runways in operation. T3 terminal boasts several national "firsts", such as the country's first panoramic aviation viewing platform and observation tower, the largest eco-garden on the air side of a domestic terminal, the first terminal in the country to have a botanical garden, the first airport in China to have a park with ancient trees, the first large airport terminal in the country with warm color tones, and the construction of the first large public art system in a domestic airport.
