BRETON (01333) rose over 5% intraday, up 5.5% as of press time, at HK$13.61, with turnover of HK$16.9022 million. On the news front, BRETON announced that on October 13, 2026, the Company entered into a placing agreement with a placing agent, pursuant to which the placing agent has agreed, as agent of the Company, to use its best efforts to procure not less than six placees to subscribe for up to 18.3162 million new H shares in accordance with the terms and subject to the conditions set out in the placing agreement, at a placing price of HK$12.06 per H share. Assuming all placing shares are fully placed, the gross proceeds and net proceeds (after deducting commissions and estimated expenses) from the placing are expected to be approximately HK$220.9 million and approximately HK$199 million, respectively. The Board believes that the placing is a continuation of the Group's strategy to develop its overseas solar-storage microgrid business. Since November 2025, the Company has conducted equity fundraisings in stages, taking into account the development of its overseas solar-storage business, the expected capital expenditure requirements of its projects, and the timing of its funding needs (including potential funding needs arising from overseas projects other than those for which funds have previously been allocated). Staged fundraising allows the Group to match the timing and amount of its fundraising with its funding needs at different stages of business development, while maintaining financial flexibility and reducing reliance on additional debt financing.
