On the news front, the short drama sector has recently seen continued heating up in global markets. Platforms are currently ramping up investment in the AI short drama sector. WeChat's "Lvpaopao Short Drama" launched at the end of September and released a 2026Q4 Lvpaopao Short Drama joint distribution incentive program; ByteDance's short drama app PineDrama surpassed 100 million cumulative downloads about nine months after launch, with approximately 7 million daily active users, becoming one of the fastest-growing apps in the overseas short drama sector. It is reported that CHINA LIT is accelerating its multi-format extension from text content to visual content such as film and television, animation, short dramas, AI comic dramas, and derivatives. In the first half of this year, the company's revenue from short dramas and AI comic dramas exceeded RMB 430 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.3 times. Guoyuan International noted that it is bullish on the accelerated commercialization of IP operations under the company's "content + platform + AI" model, and that the "three carriages" of short dramas, AI comic dramas, and IP derivatives have entered a stage of large-scale monetization.
