In terms of news, on August 21, Pony.ai, along with Uber and Verne, announced the official launch of its Robotaxi equipped with Level 4 autonomous driving technology on the Uber platform in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. This marks the first time European users can call autonomous vehicles through the Uber app. Passengers in central Zagreb and the surrounding areas can select either UberX or Comfort models in the Uber app from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, with a chance to match with the Pony.ai Robotaxi. The operational area and service hours will gradually expand in the future. Zagreb is the first city to implement this collaboration and serves as a starting point for replicating and promoting it in more European cities. On August 14, the three parties announced the expansion of their strategic partnership, planning to deploy over 2,000 Robotaxis in five key cities across Europe. The Robotaxi now in operation is Pony.ai's seventh-generation model, which serves as its global growth benchmark vehicle. In March of this year, Pony.ai jointly launched autonomous vehicle testing in Croatia with Verne and Uber and quickly rolled out Europe's first commercial Robotaxi service.
