CHI SILVER GP (00815): Exploration results support the continuation of exploration activities at the Shigatse mine.
China Silver Group (00815) announced the exploration activities in the Rikaze mine. Geological exploration activities continue in the Xiaoqiu area, including geological mapping, low-altitude airborne magnetic measurement, drilling, core recording, and sample testing. As of the date of this announcement, approximately 6 drilling machines have been deployed in the Xiaoqiu area. So far, the main exploration results of the Rikaze mine are summarized as follows:
CHI SILVER GP (00815) announced its exploration activities related to the Rikaze mine. Geological exploration activities are ongoing in the Xiaoqiu area, including geological mapping, low-altitude aeromagnetic surveys, drilling, core logging, and sample testing. As of the date of this announcement, approximately six drilling rigs have been deployed in the Xiaoqiu area. The main preliminary exploration results for the Rikaze mine are summarized as follows:
1. The following preliminary findings from completed drillings include: (i) narrow chalcopyrite vein intersections in metamorphosed and garnet-bearing skarn altered tuff at shallow depths, indicating localized copper mineralization. (ii) Initial surface trenching has identified polymetallic mineralization of skarn type, including copper, lead, zinc, and silver mineralization, as well as zones rich in magnetite. (iii) Core logging from several deeper drill holes has identified altered granodiorite, containing disseminated and molybdenum mineralization, as well as vein and networked lead-zinc mineralization.
2. Anomalous water system sediment was found in the central part of the Xiaoqiu area, and geological verification led to the discovery of an outcrop indicating molybdenum mineralization. This outcrop is approximately horizontally oriented, located at the contact zone of metamorphosed feldspar-quartz sandstone, metamorphosed quartz sandstone, and granodiorite. The outcrop extends intermittently in an east-west direction for about 1 kilometer and is reported to have a vertical thickness of approximately 1 to 20 meters. Preliminary analytical results from selected samples taken from this outcrop show the presence of molybdenum mineralization.
Considering the results of the aeromagnetic surveys, structural and alteration mapping data, the observed signs indicate the potential existence of a composite porphyry-skarn-hydrothermal vein polymetallic mineralization system, containing molybdenum, copper, lead, zinc, and silver; however, further exploration is needed to confirm the existence, extent, and continuity of this mineralization system.
The aforementioned exploration results are based on the sections, samples, and observational data obtained from the current stage of exploration work. Given that the exploration work completed to date is limited, these results should not be regarded as representative data or estimates of any mineral resource quantities or average grades, or the true thickness, shape, or continuity of the mineralization. The dimensions reported are preliminary results and may change as exploration advances.
The company believes that the exploration results support the continuation of exploration activities at the Rikaze mine. These activities are currently expected to proceed according to the previously disclosed estimated funding requirements and development timeline for the Rikaze mine. Further deep drilling is anticipated at the Rikaze mine to test for the possible presence of a porphyry-type mineralization center and its location, as well as the extent of copper and molybdenum mineralization. Additionally, the aeromagnetic survey data will undergo comprehensive interpretation, combined with the surface molybdenum mineralization and associated alteration distribution, to identify priority target areas for systematic validation through deep drilling. Systematic sampling will also continue for petrographic examination and chemical analysis to improve the geological model of the Rikaze mine.
