Data released by the National Energy Administration shows that in July 2025, the national electricity market trading volume reached 624.6 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period last year. Of this, domestic trading volume was 461.4 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.3%; cross-provincial and inter-regional trading volume was 163.2 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.9%. Green electricity trading volume was 25.6 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 43.2%.
From January to July 2025, the national cumulative electricity market trading volume reached 3.59 trillion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 3.2% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 61.2% of the total social electricity consumption, a decrease of 0.9 percentage points year-on-year. Of this, domestic trading volume was 2.73 trillion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 1.6%; cross-provincial and inter-regional trading volume was 855.8 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 9%. Green electricity trading volume was 181.7 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 42.1%.
