According to the sampled survey statistics on domestic residents' travel in the first half of 2025, the number of domestic residents' trips was 3.285 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%. Among them, urban residents made 2.452 billion trips, an increase of 17.5% year-on-year; rural residents made 0.833 billion trips, an increase of 30.6% year-on-year.
On August 1st, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism released data on domestic residents' travels in the first half of 2025. According to the results of a sample survey on domestic residents' travel, in the first half of 2025, the number of domestic residents' trips was 3.285 billion, an increase of 20.6% year-on-year. Among them, urban residents took 2.452 billion trips, an increase of 17.5% year-on-year; rural residents took 0.833 billion trips, an increase of 30.6% year-on-year.
In the first half of 2025, domestic residents spent 3.15 trillion yuan on their trips, an increase of 15.2% year-on-year. Among them, urban residents spent 2.60 trillion yuan on their trips, an increase of 12.5% year-on-year; rural residents spent 0.55 trillion yuan on their trips, an increase of 30.1% year-on-year.
