Hong Investment Company leads a delegation to visit Southeast Asia to help partners in the ecosystem expand their regional opportunities.
Discussing the patient capital in the local area, helping the Hong Kong Investment Company's ecosystem partners to explore markets and cooperate with industry players, accelerating cross-regional, mutually beneficial financial and investment market interactions, as well as innovation in applications.
The Hong Kong Investment Company announced that, from July 28 to August 1, led more than ten companies (delegation) to visit Malaysia and Brunei, visited over 40 representatives from patient capital, private equity investment institutions, industry players, government, financial and academic institutions for in-depth exchanges, including Malaysian sovereign wealth funds, Malaysian Employees Provident Fund, National Investment Corporation and Brunei Investment Authority, etc. to discuss linking local patient capital, assisting Hong Kong investment companies' ecosystem partners in market development and cooperation with industry players and accelerate cross-regional, mutually beneficial financial and investment market interactions, as well as innovative applications.
Clara Chan, CEO of Hong Kong Investment Company, said that the first visit to the ASEAN region further exchanges with patient capital and other investment and industry institutions in the region, feeling their strong interest and keen demand for investing in Hong Kong investment companies' ecosystem enterprises, also opened up opportunities for multidimensional investment cooperation, as well as talent and technology exchanges.
Clara Chan pointed out that this visit, together with representatives from more than ten companies in the Hong Kong Investment Company ecosystem, played two major roles: to broaden the potential sources and choices of investors for companies, and also to help companies better understand the characteristics and focus of these investment institutions; at the same time, it allows investment institutions in Malaysia and Brunei to have a more comprehensive understanding of the products and services of these companies, promote both sides to explore more diversified application scenarios, and open up opportunities for cross-regional business cooperation.
During this visit, the Hong Kong Investment Company held multiple meetings and events targeting the investment community and industry players in Malaysia and Brunei, allowing participating enterprise partners the opportunity to deepen their understanding with local patient capital, private equity investment institutions and industry players. The combined asset management scale (AUM) of the participating institutions exceeds HK$4 trillion in total.
