On August 1st, the Hong Kong dollar interbank interest rates mostly declined, with the overnight interbank rate at 0.17994%, down 0.512 basis points, the lowest since July 18th. The one-week interbank rate dropped 19.262 basis points to 0.43119%, and the two-week interbank rate fell 16.22 basis points to 0.56869%. The one-month interbank rate related to the property sector was 0.9931%, down 4.053 basis points, the lowest since July 25th. The three-month interbank rate, reflecting the cost of bank funds, was 1.61821%, up 0.071 basis points.
As for longer-term rates, the six-month interbank rate dropped 1.065 basis points to 2.25774%, and the one-year interbank rate dropped 1.209 basis points to 2.78976%.
