Next, the National Cyberspace Administration will institutionalize, standardize, and dynamically promote the "license display" of internet news information services, while also researching and implementing policies to support traffic, helping enhance the influence and dissemination power of verified "V" accounts.
To further regulate the order of online communication, improve the identification of internet news information services, the Cyberspace Administration of China has been promoting the "certified display" project for internet news information services since the beginning of this year. It has deployed and guided local Cyberspace Administrations to enhance the efficiency of approval, urged websites and platforms such as Tencent, Douyin, Kwai, Weibo, and 15 others that have been approved to provide internet news information dissemination platform services to optimize and improve their system functions, strengthen service qualification verification, and uniformly add a red "V" mark to public accounts approved to provide internet news information services, basically achieving full coverage of text, audio, live streaming, short videos, and other content scenarios. As of July 25, 2025, a total of 13,516 public accounts have been marked with a red "V" and clearly indicate the service entity name, license number, and service category. 4,401 websites, platforms, and other service forms have clearly stated their license information. Next, the Cyberspace Administration of China will institutionalize, standardize, and dynamically promote the "certified display" of internet news information services, while also studying and implementing policies to support traffic, helping to enhance the influence and dissemination power of red "V" accounts. In addition, it will vigorously crack down on fake and false news information, counterfeit news media, and the renting, lending, and transferring of internet news information service license qualifications, severely punishing behaviors that seek illegal benefits and disrupt the business network environment under the guise of public opinion supervision, and strive to create a clean online environment.
