Medical sector falls across the board.
On Tuesday, the pharmaceutical sector saw a general decline. As of the time of writing, Eli Lilly (LLY.US) dropped over 1.3%, Novo Nordisk A/S Sponsored ADR Class B (NVO.US) dropped over 2.7%, Pfizer Inc. (PFE.US) dropped over 1%, Moderna (MRNA.US) dropped 0.75%, and Hims & Hers Health (HIMS.US) dropped 0.92%. It was reported that Trump's Health Secretary Robert Kennedy plans to crack down on pharmaceutical advertising, threatening a $100 billion market. In addition, Trump earlier stated that drug tariffs are imminent.
